Back over the wall, a snack before heading home.
I think it's finally just setting in what she actually did...
Those buildings in the background look really great. They remind me a bit of the settings in 'Bladerunner'.
Overall, really good job! :)
Happy to hear you picked up on the 'just setting in what she did'. For her, stealing that sandwich was a gross violation of humanity -- she never would've done that in her life before and doesn't appreciate having been so 'out of control'.
shes a food thief! bad girl! love the city scape :D her expression muching down on the burger was great! :D
Thanks! Ha ha-- I was actually kinda hungry when I drew her burger eating expression.
Face it Marita, you're a brute! Yum, burger has my tummy growling! Fabulous street scene in panel 1!
Ya gotta eat, girl. Don't postpone it!
(For me, in real life, if I postpone eating I will get a horrible abdominal migraine; so it's a sensitive issue I must be working out here.:P )
that first frame looks amazing. great looking city shot.
Thanks for the compliment. I do seem to have a special love for drawing cities in the evening/night which I only discovered via working on this comic.
Her face says it all in each panel.
Ultimate compliment -- thanks. Complicated expressions take so much practice, for me anyway.
the moody light effect backgrounds are the best.
Do you mean the last two panels, SOTM? The ones w/less detail (which I debated, but chose close-up focus)?
the first two panels are more striking, but looking again, the last two capture the feeling just as well.
plus the color of the sky is absolutely perfect. just like, humid, warm, city night.
oh, exxcellent to hear
